wow, so last night was out of control! trisha ended up wanting to go out for her birthday so we did! they had dinner at a place up the street from the hostel and as jamie and i were walking up to meet them, an elephant came walking up!! her owners had sugar cane for us to feed her and she would take it right from your hand. then we went directly across the street to a place called golden eye (i think) and apparently they offered "massages" (if you catch my drift), but we stayed downstairs...we were the only people in the place. so we decided to find a place that was a little more lively. up the street a bit was a place called genesis. it was a tiny bar that played go-go, dance, rap, hip-hop...anything and the girls danced on the bar (in clothes). well as the night went on trisha, jaime and i thought it would be a good idea to join the ladies in dancing! oh yes, there is photographic evidence of this event! it was a wild night, we literally closed down the bar.

jamie had left a little bit eariler that i did, however, when i walked out of the bar she was sitting on the cornor next to a little boy who was about 6. he was selling roses and he couldn't go home until he sold them all...this upset jaime to the point of tears, so we bought all the roses...it was like 400 bhat. and then the dancers walked us home! (how nice)

tonight me, jamie, nikki, and melissa went to see the da vince code at the mall and i have to say that i liked the book better. ron howard got too creative with certian scenes and it really took away from the story i thought. but it was still a good movie. the seats in the theater were pleather and they were so comfy, and you could pick your seat when you bought your ticket. and before the movie started, the national anthem played and everyone had to stand up. it was an interesting site! well im beat...so goodnight for now from thailand! oh yea, i bought a suit today....eek!

Hi Brandy!
It's Memorial Day here in the U.S. and many families are grilling out and enjoying the Monday day off, including Chuck and I. Hope you've spent a few moments thanking all the service men who have died, as well as those that are still serving our country. Here in Lakeland it's 95 degrees and we haven't any significant rain in two weeks. Our black cat, Simba is encrouching on my keyboard, and I've had to do some nudging to let me type!

What a marvelous time you are having, but I'll bet your parents were cringing when reading about your taxi driver and almost getting t-boned! The birthday party sounded fun also! How much longer before your return??
Did you know that my daughter, Lesley, traveled through Europe staying in youth hostels after high school graduation? She traveled with three guy friends and spent one day on the French Riviera. The guys got sunburned on one side of their faces watching a couple cute and totally nude female beach bunnies and Lesley had a big laugh over that!

Continue your blogs, I'm enjoying your experiences!
Take care! Love, GeeJ
